It is no secret that most of us struggle with the everyday pressures of life. For many of us, the norm is being constantly stressed, anxious, worried, and overwhelmed. We live in an age where we’re busier than ever, and because we disconnect from our bodies, it’s easy for us to become buried in feelings and emotions that we don’t know how to deal with or process. Breathwork allows us to be still, be with ourselves, and breathe and feel through our experiences. We have been given the tool of breath since birth, but most people are unaware of how powerful and transformational the breath can be. The benefits of Breathwork could change your life.

WHAT YOU MAY FEEL PHYSICALLY
During the first half of your Breathwork session, especially for the first time, you may experience many body sensations that could feel strange to you. Please know that you are safe and that these sensations can decrease as you practice Breathwork. Please also know that during your session with a certified Breathwork teacher, you can ask for support at any time should apprehension of your feelings arise.
Your physical symptoms will subside during the second half of your session. Some of the physical sensations you may experience are:
- tingling or tightness in different areas of your body
- temperature fluctuations
- lightheaded
WHAT YOU MAY ENCOUNTER MENTALLY
Breathwork has an undeniable way of allowing you to tap into your subconscious mind, where memories and emotions are stored and often trapped in time. As you learn to breathe more openly and consciously, you will release stuck patterns within your nervous system. You will take in more oxygen than usual, which will lower the level of CO2 in your brain. This allows you to enter a self-induced non-routine state of consciousness where memories, pictures, emotions, or bodily sensations can surface. These experiences can then be reconsidered, released, and re-integrated into the body with new perceptions.
WHAT YOU MAY EXPERIENCE EMOTIONALLY
Breathwork could bring up many emotions, such as anger, frustration, sadness, peace, or joy. When you step into your subconscious mind, you can quiet the ego, allowing you to feel these emotions freely. The more you break down your walls and let go of control, the more your body will want to release. This release often shows up as tears or could show up as a huge cry.
